About Me

Shoot! I need to keep this brief, but give you enough that you might want to hire me or buy something from me, what a task!

Simply put, I’m a husband, father, follower of Jesus who happens to live in Montana. Prior to putting down roots here, I hailed from Oregon, where I lived off-grid in an alternate lifestyle that is often recounted because it was so different than most people experienced growing up (I’ve been told it should be a book…). It was there that I first started playing with making art. I spent many hours serenading the countryside with my guitar, following my youth group around with a camcorder, and documenting the world around me with a camera.

I left for Montana to pursue a degree in Computer Science, but I didn’t apply myself. After switching majors, finding and marrying my wife, I did finally escape college with a degree in Technology Education. My artistic passions settled to the margins while I forged ahead in a career of IT management, but I practiced often and kept it alive with my involvement in church and community.

I now work for Headwaters Economics, handling all things web and media. One day I’m filming a documentary, the next I might be building a new app, and that same day will be publishing the great research and resources that we put out as an organization. I still keep the media side hustle alive though, for the somewhat regular commercial or consultation.
